About

What makes two people decide to leave a perfectly normal and pleasant life to wander about the world? Why give up a dental career to fix teeth as a volunteer or milk a cow for a meal and bed?.

They traveled by horseback, on elephants, by tuk-tuk and in leaky boats, but they got around mostly by bicycle. No matter their form of transport, they were always lost. Puzzling over a map brought invitations to stay the night; or at least have a cup of tea. Getting lost in the Borneo jungle meant drinking tuak with headhunters and a matt on which to sleep it off.

If they weren’t lost they were late, and missed many things, mostly trains, boats, buses, and an occasional airplane. But did they miss the security of “home”? Follow Judy and Dave as they cover three continents, Africa, Asia and Central America. Will one of them be “home”?
